Welcome to Castle Point, a rustic retreat on the beautiful Chain O’ Lakes in Waupaca, Wisconsin. Built in the 1920s and enjoyed by 7 generations of the same family Castle Point is one of the most nostalgic and unique properties on the “Chain”.

Located on a large wooded lot overlooking Beasley Lake, Castle Point accommodates a maximum of 8 people with 2 bedrooms and a screened-in sleeping porch.

The cottage is open mid-May until the end of September.
3 night minimum. 7 night minimum (Saturday to Saturday) required for the high season (all of July and first half of August). High season weekly rate for 2024 is $2,000 (plus taxes).
For shorter stays the nightly rate varies, please inquire.

The cottage has air conditioning but it is not winterized so there is no central heat. However, the whole cottage can be heated very well during cooler weather by using the mini-split wall units in the bedrooms and the window unit in the living room as well as the fireplace. Space heaters are also available. The cottage is not available to rent during the winter/freezing weather.

Beasley Lake is a quiet no-wake lake connected by a short channel to Long Lake and the rest of the Chain. The shoreline of Beasley is natural so there is no beach or sandy bottom but the water at the end of the dock is deep and clear and great for swimming. Larger “wake lakes” are adjacent to Beasley for boating, waterskiing and tubing. The Upper Chain is also easily accessible by Beasley Creek for kayaking and canoeing in a tranquil state park setting. We provide two kayaks and two canoes. Tom Thumb mini golf is two doors down and Hartman Creek State Park is within walking/biking distance. Boat launches and rentals, restaurants and shopping are also nearby.
